Space Flowchart

Today I was making a flowchart about two chosen plants. My first planet was Super Saturn, (it’s real name is J1407b, but it’s too long, and hard to remember) and the second was Wasp 12B. As you can you see, ubove this paragraph, is the flowchart about Super Saturn. It features it’s size, diameter, its rings, and how many moons it has. I also made a general comment of Super Saturn, and made a short, but detailed description of Super Saturn. Below this text, you will see my other flowchart, this time about wasp 12B.
I made the glow next to the planet to make it seem like it’s evaporating, because in real time, right now, it is evaporating. It has about 3 million to 10 million years before it gets consumed by it’s host star.

Commenting Positively

Today I was learning about making a positive comment, the 4 main parts of a positive comment:

  • Greet them and introduce yourself (greeting).
  • Something you liked about it.
  • what does it remind you of? (being thoughtful)
  • And lastly, some questions.

This drawing is an example of a positive comment, it shows the 4 main part of a positive, thoughtful comments, and what it should be like.

About Takahe

For my writing today, I wrote about Takahe. I did my research on Google, and I wrote everything with my own words. Here are 2 facts about Takahe that I learned:

  1. they are the biggest rail species on the planet
  2. there used to be a north island Takahē species, but sadly, they have all died out.

Volcano Drawing

Today for my Inquiry I created a drawing of a volcano, as you can see. I added a forest and smoke coming from the volcano. I had a few ideas, but since I wanted to make this take a short time, I decided to keep it simple.

Here are a few fun facts about volcanos:

  1. The word volcano comes from a roman word called “vulcan”.
  2. Volcanoes can form from tectonic plates crashing into each other.
  3. Volcanoes can also occur over mantle plumes.

Summer Learning Journey

Today for my Summer Learning Journey task I was making a Alliteration Poem that started with S’s, I also added a cool image of a shark “splashing” a seal to make it more visual. Here are some of the key words I used: Sharks, splashing, shoreline, seals and sneaking. The reason why I made the peom about it is because I had some insperation from the example and also the fact that sharks like eating seals and also that great whites are pretty cool ( In my opinion ).

Summer Learning Journey

Today for my SLJ task I was making a poster about a dangerous fish and a warning sign. I liked making sign because it was pretty fun, here are some fun facts that may help you survive Argetant the stone fish ( There is no Argetant the stonefish by the way ):

  • They are the most venomous fish in the world.
  • They are masters of disguise.
  • Their venom sacs are found in their dorsal fin spines.
  • They are very fast predators.
  • They can survive for up to 24 hours out of water.

have a great summer holiday everybody!

Summer Learning Journey

Today for my Summer Learning Journey task, I was doing this where you find words that start with the letter you are writing in and make a sentence with that word in the catagory your writing in. They are mostly ocean realated and some of them have something to do with rubbish and pollution, you should really pick up rubbish everywhere you go. Even when its not yours and is really dirty.
